The work includes the construction of a coal berth with 8m water depth for handling ships up to 12,000 dwt. The coal berth is connected to the power plant by a conveyer trestle and is provided with two sets of 2000 t/h ship unloaders. The berth is also provided with utilities such as power supply, communications, control, heating & ventilation, fire fighting, water supply & drainage, environmental protection etc.
