There are 4 berths in the container terminal at the north side of East Pier, Tianjin Port, which can accommodate sixth-generation container vessels, with the annual throughput capacity of 1500 000 TEU. The quay line is 1 202 m long with the alongside water depth at -15.2 m. It is constructed with reinforced concrete beams and slabs supported on steel piles. Rail-mounted container quay cranes are used at the front apron, and rail-mounted container gantry cranes and fork-lifts used at the stock yard.
